Marathon Training: Week 1, Complete!

Just completed week 1 of marathon training! A total of 20 miles ran since Tuesday.

I had a some soreness in my knees the first couple of days, but it seems to have subsided.

I must say it was a bit tough waking up early the first few days to run. I’m sure it will get easier as the weeks progress.

    Morning Run

Woke up a bit earlier than usual this morning for a quick run before work. I forgot how much I enjoy running in the morning – less people, cool air, no sun, and quiet. To top it off downtown Seattle and the Space Needle were the backdrop. Definitely a great way to start the morning!

Vacation and a return to training

Took a much needed vacation break. I look forward to resuming my training this week, ordering some supplies from PowerBar, and testing out my new hydration belt.
